Bringing fresh island riddims and messages of positivity from Bermuda this island boy is bringing the vibes we all needed this year. Seek the Truth is the debut single off Brookesy’s upcoming EP, The Light Letters, due to be released later this year.
“I was frustrated by the lack of empathy from leaders and inspired by the social unrest that underpinned 2020,” said Brookesy. “Seek the Truth is a message of love in response to the hate caused by misinformation that has been spread during these times”.

BROOKESY
Brookesy, also known as, James Brookes, is a Bermudian reggae artist, producer, and audio engineer and CEO of Limestone Entertainment, Inc.
Brookesy was introduced to reggae and Bermuda’s dancehall culture scene as a youth. As a former emcee and selecta, Brookesy is a fan of both dancehall’s expressive and boastful sounds, in contrast to the lyricism and intention of conscious reggae.
A graduate of Recording Arts Canada, Brookesy has parlayed his love of big sound system, dub, and conscious reggae vibes into his independent production company, Limestone Entertainment, Inc.
Early in his reggae vocation Brookesy found inspiration from iconic reggae artists and innovators like: Jimmy Cliff; Beres Hammond; Bob Marley and the Wailers; U-Roy; King Tubby; Morgan Heritage; Peter Tosh; Black Uhru; Chronixx; Jesse Royal; and Protoje.
And took his journey of dancehall education through soundsystem stalwarts like: David Rodigan; StoneLove; Bass Odyssey; Playbwoy; Souljah1; and Mighty Crown.
SEEK THE TRUTH
The concept album is co-produced by Noah Cronin of Sea Major Seven Productions. Noah has worked with such accomplished reggae artists like: Collie Buddz; The Wailers; New Kingston; and Hawiian reggae-pop artists like Landon McNamara and Kolohe Kai.
